Travel should be exciting. But with celiac disease, it can also mean a lot of planning, research—and worrying about your next meal.

That's why I created Celiac Anywhere.

Why Celiac Anywhere?

I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2023, following a very difficult year in my life.

My wife and I have always loved to travel. But after my diagnosis, traveling changed. I was constantly thinking about where I could eat, where I could buy groceries, and what my backup plan would be.

It was even harder when traveling with other people. I didn't want my dietary needs to become everyone else's problem.

I had recently retired and finally had the time and motivation to do something about it. So I created Celiac Anywhere.

Plan the Trip, Not Just the Meals

Celiac Anywhere is a trip-planning tool for people with celiac disease—and the people who travel with us.

It helps bring together gluten-free restaurants, activities and the other things you want to experience on your trip.

My wife is a great example. She wants to make sure I have safe places to eat, but she's also looking at the ambiance, location and adventures nearby.

A great trip is about more than finding a safe meal. Celiac Anywhere is designed to help plan the whole experience.

Made for Traveling Together

You may have celiac disease yourself, or it may be your spouse, partner or child.

Celiac Anywhere lets everyone participate in planning, including travelers who don't have celiac disease.

The goal isn't to make celiac disease the focus of your vacation. It's to plan well enough that hopefully it doesn't have to be.

I also want Celiac Anywhere to help travelers discover gluten-free events and the businesses supporting our community—from dedicated restaurants and bakeries to local markets, festivals and events.
